Season 2’s Episode 1 begins with Patti’s father, Arthur, and the enormous influence he had on the Quatro kids and their passion for music. Arthur – or as Patti calls him, “Mr. Entertainer,” had to supplement his career in the car industry to make ends meet for his growing family in the 1950s, so he taught himself how to play the piano, started a trio band, and booked gigs around Detroit and the country clubs. “He was very much a survivor – how funny that we’re talking about rock ‘n’ roll survivors…” Patti said about her dad, and he was. He not only survived, but he also created the family ambiance for his kids and their friends to thrive in music. You’ll also get to hear the romantic story of how Arthur wooed Patti’s mom, Helen, on the dance floor and how they fell in love. Yet with true love often comes heartbreak, so you’ll also hear about their struggles as a young couple, and how music brought them back together again.
