S2E9: In Yoko Ono’s Mind

Join me as I welcome back biographer Madeline Bocaro for a trilogy of in-depth interviews to discuss Yoko Ono’s art, music, and worldview. These interviews came about as a result of a devoted fan, Cindy Lee, demanding (her word) that we continue our previous conversations about Madeline’s phenomenal book, “In Your Mind – The Infinite Universe of Yoko Ono.” On the final episode, Madeline shares some of Yoko’s perspective on nature and the spiritual realm, the integration of all living things both visible and invisible, and the optimistic vision that the world will eventually become a beautiful and peaceful place to exist. Nature and the spiritual realm are unwavering alliances and muses for all of Yoko’s creations. Like nature and the spiritual realm, nothing is ever finished and it is dependent upon who is viewing and listening to it. Madeline writes, “Ono’s work is unfinished – to be completed in your mind. Her art is invisible – a wind, a whisper, a scream… It is imagining one thousand suns in the sky, or a billion universes.” Madeline’s book on Yoko Ono is a magical combination of enlightenment and inspiration, and it’s been a privilege to have had her back on the podcast. For now, we close with a portion of Cindy Lee’s book review that perfectly sums it up, “Thank you, Madeline, for sharing this brilliant masterpiece about such an incredible woman.”
