S2:E1: Confessions of a Rock ‘n’ Roll Name-Dropper

On the first episode of this five-part interview series, I’m joined by Laurie Kaye, accomplished news writer and producer for some of the most successful Top 40 stations in the United States. Born and raised in Los Angeles during the height of the music scene in the 1960s and 70s, Laurie interviewed almost every superstar of her generation, including three of the four Beatles, Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Grace Slick, Little Richard, the Ramones, and Talking Heads. Yet it was her interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono on December 8, 1980 only hours before he was murdered that would change her personal and professional life forever. Join me as we take a deep dive into Laurie Kaye’s page-turning book, “Confessions of a Rock ‘n’ Roll Name-Dropper: My Life Leading Up to John Lennon’s Last Interview.” It’s personal, it’s raw, it’s intense, and it’s totally rock ‘n’ roll.
