It’s here and it’s hot! Season 4 of the “Rock ‘n’ Roll Survivors Podcast” focuses on the all-female band Cradle straight out of Detroit from 1969-1973. We’re calling E3 “Living Machine,” because the band discusses the real-life experiences of the Vietnam War in ’69, including their visit to Guam when they were still the Pleasure Seekers. We open the episode with “Mr. Power,” a song written by Patti Quatro after the Pleasure Seekers’ trip to Guam. We bookend “Mr. Power” with Cradle’s song, “Living Machine,” which sought to underscore and uplift the voices protesting the Vietnam War. After we hear from Cradle’s band members about “Living Machine” and putting it all into historical context, we listen to the song in full to round out the episode. Join us on this wild rock ‘n’ roll ride, won’t you…?
