Wham Bam Thank You Glam

We kick off the episode by listening to Fanny’s “Rock and Roll Survivors,” which is a commentary on the devastating toll that sex, drugs, and rock and roll had on so many people coming of age in the late 1960s-mid-1970s. Kristen reads David Bowie’s full quote about Fanny, and Brie and Patti reflect on his time with the band. They credit Bowie’s contributions and interest with Fanny to his love of Detroit Rock City, Iggy Stooge, and the Quatro “Retro” bands, as well as his profound respect for Fanny’s talents. However, as Brie said, let’s be real, his real interest was in Jean Millington – not only for her hot looks but also for her monster talents as a musician. You don’t want to miss this episode!
